Cortijo Sabila is a rather gorgeous, small, private spot for a wedding, couple-stay or family get-together. Be spoiled for a night or a week. It’ll be hard to tear yourself away from this boutique hotel packed with style, charm, care and antiques. In the summer months the outside honesty bar, swimming pool and views from the lovely landscaped areas or the ‘Alhambra’ garden will keep you on base and relaxed.

The hotel is home to Ray and Yvonne who look after their guests as friends and delight in opening their welcoming doors and sharing their gorgeous Airedale dogs with all who pass through.

Our stay was on a wild and windy February weekend. We enjoyed the gorgeously decorated lounge with a roaring log fire and glass of red wine, dined in the welcoming, cosy dining room on delicious food home-cooked by Yvonne and felt thoroughly spoilt.

It was easy to imagine the long hot lazy days of summer and a cool refreshing breeze taking off the edge of the heat while relaxing around the pool with those lovely views.

Set within its own olive groves Cortijo Sabila is in an area of natural beauty near Antequera about 35 minutes drive from Malaga airport and 45 minutes from Granada airport making a great base for exploring southern Andalucia if you can bear to leave this beautiful spot.
