Casa Paraiso B&B is indeed a slice of paradise. Once through the gates it´s hard to imagine you´re in an urbanisation in Torremolinos. Not physically far from the airport or the busy beaches of the Costa del Sol but peace and privacy reign here. Rustic rules with terracotta walls and terracotta pots of bright flowers, mature gardens and huge trees. Comfort abounds to make this B&B a delightful getaway with a countryside feel.

This owner-run home from home is charming, with just five rooms, come and go as you please or stay with a door keypad or take it easy on the large grassy areas around the pool. Relaxing comes naturally here.

Each room is delightful and different, some with outside terrace and larger suites, all named after flowering plants, ours was Buganvilla (Spanish spelling) with terrace – the archway on the right. Above which is the lovely breakfast terrace overlooking the gardens.

The great breakfast is served outside whenever possible by the friendly hosts Cati and Piero overlooking their own (and ours for a while) bit of paradise. Or like our stay in February breakfast is in the huge drawing room. Be warned – an overnight stay is not long enough. A delightful escape place.
