Located part way up the mountainside on a bend in the road Hotel Calerilla sits snuggly into its surrounding landscape. A restored forestry house and animal barns from the 40s which has been beautifully and sensitively renovated. Think cosy; stone and whitewash walls, wooden beams, warm terracotta tiled floors and incredible views. Attractive, welcoming and miles from anywhere except the road.

Outside there´s more stonework, cute corners, a large fountain and lots of charm. The garden area has a natural trickling waterfall and a calming pool area with sunbeds and Jacuzzi pool. There are nook and cranny seating areas for sun or shade or a different angle on those fabulous views.

The 9 double and two single bedrooms are split between the two buildings, all with lovely views. The restaurant with huge-view windows is full of memorabilia and serves excellent local fare and the bedrooms furnished with period pieces. Everything flows here even the foliage creeping up the stonework, the murmur of water and slight rustle of leaves. It´s happily situated as if it´s grown into the surroundings.

This is a great location on the edge of Cazorla, Segura & Las Villas, Spain´s largest natural park to just be or for great walking. It´s hard not to relax with those massive views on all sides and it´s an Adult-only hotel. A real delight.
