The charming, urban hotel Gar Anat sits on a tiny plaza in the heart of Granada city. Central to the main sites this is a great location for exploring.

A former hospital and pilgrim hostalery history oozes and calms the wonderful typical patio interior with bedrooms around the wooden gallery. Each room and suite is unique and named after a famous literary character or book.

Our room was Viajes a la Apujarra on the ground floor where room doors are shielded by a curtain. Small and welcoming the Gar Anat is a pleasure to step into after a days exploration.

There is no restaurant but with the whole of Granada and its free tapas bars and restaurants on your doorstep it isn’t necessary. Breakfast is served below ground in the lovely cellar.
