A quick overnight escape took us not much more than an hour from home into the Sierra Morena, north-east of Córdoba city. La Dehesa Experiencia is luxury glamping on a nature reserve with six wooden bungalows on stilts with a double layered canvas roof and six glass pods or ´tubes´ on platforms for all night star gazing.

Peace reigned and calmed the soul as we lay on our balcony watching the clouds – no stars for us that night – and listening to the rustling and chirping of our surroundings. Our dinner and breakfast arrived, as we and our luggage had, on an electric buggy, that was the most disturbance we had – lights from the buggy and its noise on reversing.
