Spring. My favourite season. Thanks to all the rain we´ve had the countryside and wild flowers are a riot of colour and the reservoirs and looking so much healthier after the worrying drought we were suffering.

The weather forecast had also postponed any explorations until last weekend. The planned trip started off in the rain, I took my sunglasses anyway. They were needed. We arrived at Casa Valle de Oro to showers, which fortunately gave way to bits of blue between the clouds and eventually a sunny and cloudy afternoon.

Watch out for the new kid on the block – Casa Valle de Oro.
