It´s always a joy to return to somewhere special and that´s what we did on Saturday night. A short break – they always feel longer – at Finca Las Encinas B&B and a cooking class with chef Clive which we then sat outside and ate, between going back to the kitchen between courses!

Cooking for us has always been a get-something-on-the-table-that-all -three-sons-liked ordeal. Quick and easy because of time limits, work, college or school hours. It´s not that much better now! All three at home for main meal lunch and two still living at home! So it really is great to take time out and slow cook different things under expert guidance, as well as getaway from it all.

This was my first fish filleting experience and has given me more confidence to cook fish at home, probably not for all five of us though!

Finca Las Encinas do just B&B or serve dinner if wanted and also cooking classes over as many nights you want. It´s located about 1 hour from Malaga airport and just a bit more from the cities of Cordoba and Granada so a great base to explore or just stay and enjoy.
